Hi Trish, It's not too late. As you know alyssums are annuals. They really don't need stratification. I actually just experimented.

Congratulations on the sprouts!! That's great news. Still nothing here - could have been something today but too busy bringing in one last cord of wood.

Alyssums are great Trish. I buy seeds from Vesy's every year called Snow Crystals and they form a beautiful mound flowering all summer long with their scent.

Thanks for reminding me about them Narci. I'll have to sow them tonight!

Congratulations to you too Sharon. Great going! Now, would you kindly explain to me how a gal in zone 2 gets sprouts before a gal in zone 5???? Not fair!! :O) (I am now going to go pout before sowing more seeds.)

On closer inspection, I took a better look today and I got two more that are sprouting.
This is early, I beat my record from last year ;)

I'm a first time mama of two. First it was Shirley Poppy, then Imperial Stocks came by. I am hovering over the rest of my brood anxiously looking for any more newborns. How are the rest of the moms, expectant and already delivered doing?
