Fridge maybe, freezer no. Just my opinion.

I keep mine on some shelves I made in the staircase going to the basement. Our basement is partially finished, but not heated unless someone is down there doing something in the winter. This staircase qualifies as a nice dark, dry, but cool place to keep seeds.
