Dividing Sarracenia during flowering?

Winter has ended early or we're experiencing an unusual dry and warm spell right now. This change has triggered all of my Sarracenia to develop their flower stalks in preparation for flowering.

I had planned to divide my Sarracenia before this happened at the end of winter -- I guess that's now! Is it OK to divide Sarracenia as they're developing their flower stalks or should I wait until later?

You may but I would definately cut off all the flowers; the plants will benefit from expending their energy on healing and establishing roots.

Where are you located? Winter may not really be over yet. Almost every year I have to protect early spring pitchers and flowers from frost-but its worth it.

I'm in zone 10, so it rarely gets very cold here. Maybe I'll divide some and let the others flower.
