Finally! Zebra Longwing eggs

As of Tuesday, I now have ZLW eggs that have now hatched. Saw the eggs before the lone female. She laid 3 clusters, the last one had more eggs on it but by the time I cut it, most had been removed. Haven't found any new ones in the last two days but I will be happy if I can just raise a few of these to be healthy butterflies.

Have been having continual Giants, Spicebush, and now have a bunch of Eastern Blacks.

Happy too as I have a Hummer back again. It is nectaring on my Black and Blue Salvia, Red Shrimp Plant, and Cat Whiskers.

BTW, I have had one of my Polydamas Swallowtails that loves to nectar from the Hummingbird feeder! Also have some great shots of my butters that I have taken with my new Nikon 90 camera. Still learning to use it but its great for taking pictures in rapid fire. Will get those downloaded this weekend.

Have been really busy with my first grandchild - Asher James Boston - 9 weeks old. We tour the backyard on the days I take care of him. He's learning all about the flowers and butterflies!
