VFT seedling don't have a stem. They are small rosette plantlets. They look basically like miniature Venus flytraps with tiny traps.

Did you cold stratified them 1st when you planted them? How long ago did you get your seeds?

No, those are something completely different. I doubt they are any kind of carnivorous plant. Sorry that you were mislead. Venus' Flytraps have very tiny, shiny black seeds. They don't need any kind of cold stratification. If you want a very reputable source for high quality seeds, then I would highly recommend FlyTrapStore (d0t) com. It's the only place I buy flytrap seeds from. I don't think he has any seeds for sale at the moment. He's gotta wait for this year's crop to ripen before harvesting it and posting them for sale. But it will definitely be well worth the wait. In fact, that's what I'm waiting for, so I can buy some myself. Just keep checking back.
