Hello!

It occured to me after I responded to the generous offer by gottahosta that I had not introduced myself.

I live in San Antonio Texas.

What brought me to GW was the Stained Glass forum. I spend what little bit of spare time I have making multimedia mosaics, collecting and making garden/patio accessories from glass pieces I find anywhere.

I find myself in the Garden Junk forum quite a bit as well.

I have always had "house plants" in pots outside but I feel the need to garden.

A couple of years ago a friend gave me a yellow brug cutting, and I fell in love. Last year it did quiet well, this year not so good. More on that later with a picture so you can possibly advise me. It would break my heart to loose it. I have propagated it, but gave them away!

I posted a link to my photobucket so that you may see what I do and what I manage to grow. Growin Thangs contains some of my plants.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Pat

    Hi and welcome Pat,

Nice plants and I love your artwork. Did you do all the copperwork also? I do some mosaics with beach glass but cheat and use a vibrating tumbler to make the glass. It's too hard to find enough real beach glasss around here. Your resin/glass pieces are cool too. I've never seen that before

Welcome to the Brug forum. It's really crazy there. LOL
More like a family. We talk and ask question just about anything.
Would love to see pictures of you Angel and anything else you would like to share.
I can't get the link to open, try it again.
Would love to see some of your stained glass work.
    Welcome again,
    Dorothy in Ga.

    PS
Just wondering. Pat...boy or girl LOL

Wow! What a warm welcome. Thanks so much.
We had some decent rain last night and as I walked out onto the patio I swear I heard the plants sighing, and I KNOW I saw them smiling.
I have a few errands to run, one of which is getting batteries for my camera, and I will post pics of my Angel so you can assist me with her.
    Thanks again ladies.
I think I'm really going to like it here!

Welcome Pat! I loved your first picture, the Tea Party :-) As Lucy said, you have full albums and I only watched a small part, but enjoyed that. Brenda, will send you some fantastic brug cuttings, and next year, you should have some pretty blooms.

    Hi Pat,

Welcome to the brug forum, too. They will take good care of you here. This was a tough year for brugs, and just about everything else, here in our area. I thought I had killed mine three times this summer, but it is starting to bloom now.

Look forward to meeting you at the swap in October.

I just thought I would thank you all again.
Karyn, I have been making beach glass myself! I would rather gather it at the beach, but I just never seem to get there! You mentioned the copper work, are you referring to the wire? If so, yes.
I thought I saw you somewhere else rock oak deer! I am really looking forward to the swap. I will have to bring a notebook tho, can't remember things and I plan to pic alot of brains!
    Thanks again you guys.
    I feel right at home.

Good idea on the notebook, that's the one thing I didn't bring to the last swap that I wished I had.
