Contemporary Modern: Color for the walls

Need good advice on color of choices on walls that is modern contemporary design.

Property 3000 sq, outside is
-white color stucco,
-white color plantation shutters,
-the trims on window frames, moldings and door handles are all white as well.
-and the existing wall is off white (again) cream.
- the floor is also light hardword floor.
- cabinets (white again....)

I like white in general and understand i can use big bold "painting" to create some focal point on the wall or paint one side of the wall using those modern contemporary colors. but this house has too much "white" already. What can i do?

What do you recommend in terms of color to create the balances as well as the sticking with the modern theme? Here is what i have thought of:

should I paint the shutters to be dark grey/browns, while changing the the off white cream to pure white, purchase large scale painting hanging on the wall.

what about the frame and the molding? white on white? on light hardwood? what's your take?

Certainly, i'm not a pro and definitely needs some color wizard for advice. (excuse my pictures orientation....)
