I got several from this source. The plants arrived on time in good condition and they have a nice selection and reasonable prices. I ordered 5 last year and all are thriving. Hope this helps. -Ais.

I got mine from Fern Gully Nursery in S.Carolina and they're doing well. They were small but healthy when I received them. I live in eastern N.C.

I know We-Du Nursery has had them in the past - they're in the NC mountains, but I am not sure of the exact address. They've been in business long enough that they should have a web site, where you can find out if they ship. Sandy Mush Herbs in Leicester NC, does ship and I think they have native azaleas - maybe only little ones though. Try Niche or Plants Delight, or Woodlanders in Aiken, who should certainly have them as they specialize in natives.

A number of the local nurseries here do carry them, but I doubt most of them ship. If I can think of any other sources, I'll come back.

Niche Gardens carries many native azaleas and they ship. So does Sunlight Gardens.

I found a couple of beatiful ones at the Greenville Farmer's Market during their Plant/Flower Festival. Before I "found" the vendor, I noticed people with other gorgeous colors. You might want to try a state farmer's market.

believe it or not the 2 big box home improvement stores are carrying them now. in both gallon and 3 gallon sizes,. they aren't ho sellers, so if you watch the sale cart they sometimes have, you can snag them for 1/2 price. they are cultivated forms- some hybrids, but are the native deciduous types. i think i've picked up around 6 different cultivars by watching carefully.
