My Asao that lives in a 30 gal pot since day one has 22 new stems coming from the ground, When I cleaned it up about 3 weeks ago I left about 6 old vines from last year and those are now leafing out really nice. I think its about 7 years old now. No flower buds yet tho. I so love spring.. My no name Clematis that i received last spring at a plant swap has 4 new stems about 4"tall on it, the leaves kinda looks like my Nelly Moser and or Polish Sprit. I kinda enjoy the suspense of not knowing what it is, all last year I keep it pinched back to help develope its roots, its in a 10 gal pot. I have plenty of others that I know what to expect from them, I kinda like the suspense on this new one. Kinda like having a child and no knowing what it is until birth... I love Spring...
