Huge seed pod......

I got the seeds from eBay, were supposed to be peach--they're not--but the seed pod on one of them is gigantic! That's a quarter I put in the picture for perspective. How often do these get this big?

Counting the lumps on the pod, it looks like there are at least 12 seeds inside. If anyone would like a seed, let me know. First come/first dibs! I'll send the seeds at the end of March after the weather warms up a little.

Wow, that is a large pod and what a nice offer.
How do you know that it isn't a peach?

The flower that produced the pod was a standard orange. Other pods on the same plant were normal sized.

I started with one clivia about 20 years ago, and have 3rd/4th generation from that one orange plant. Some of the progeny from that plant show interesting variations in flower color, some with almost yellow flowers tipped with orange. Has anyone had similar results?

Just curious, was that from division or growing from seed? Seed, I assume.

I am just lurking on the forum today :) My 3+ year old Clivia has never bloomed, and was blooming when I bought it. Some good tips here I will try this fall!

Last call--anyone want seeds? I guess I'm becoming the 'clivia guy' in my area: my sister's friend just gave me a clivia pod, so I have even more to give out now--all orange.

Let me know!

Rick, I sent you an email the other day - don't know if you received it? I would be so thrilled to receive a seed or two.

Thanks!
