In Memory of Miguel ) Old Thread Dated July 2007

I found a thread Dated July 2007 I thought might make some of you all laugh and brighten ya'll's day that knew Miguel. I didn't know him like most of you did but I do enjoy this forum and have learned so much concerning Clematis's and therefor will miss learning about them from the best of them. Sandy

Girlll...you just made me sit here and cry my heart out..I remember that posting..we had the most fun and even emailed back and forth chatting and laughing over all that..It's hard to believe that was almost 3 years ago and to think..I won't have my Miguel to banter and laugh with..the clematis world just got sadder in a way but in another way..it's moments like this that brings a little cheer and happy memory to mix up my sadness..thanks for revisiting happier times...Jeanne

Your Welcome Jeanne. I didn't mean for that to make you or anyone cry. We all are just here in this world for a little while and there's a much prettier Clematis Garden in Heaven above that we must wait our turn to see. It always lightens my heart to recall happier times during a time of sadness. Sandy

I ran into that thread last week when I was searching this forum. It made me smile to remember Miguel's good humor and is one of the postings that I remembered about adding multiple clematis to a trellis/support. The day after the original posting I went out and bought a couple of new clematis to add to some single planted trellises.

I also copied Jeanne's recipe for fried green tomatoes. Thanks, Jeanne.

Yes, I laughed as I read through it, but at the same time, felt a deep sense of sadness too. He really did have a great sense of humour, didn't he? I know I don't post that much, but I read here all the time - and I really felt as if I knew him. He came across as such a kind, helpful, and easy-going person. I am still finding it hard to believe that he won't be here anymore:(
