I've never been able to edit any thread, and I've been on here a long time. When you see posts and threads disappear it's usually because a Moderator has determined it to be against board rules, therefore deleted. I may stand corrected on this, but I didn't think you could post unless you were a member...may be wrong on that.

Thanks. I found out it was because the server was down that some posts got lost. But what I really meant was what can paying subscribers do that regular registered members can't?

I thought GW did away with paid subscriptions.

Well, maybe they did! I couldn't find any info on them.

Yep, they're history! In the old days only paid subscribers could post on "certain" forums, some forums were available for anyone. When you paid you also got a t-shirt. Now its a free for all and seems to have either fewer rules or fewer moderators.

Paying memebers didn't have to see all the ads that others did too. -Ais.

You know what's strange though -- a couple of months ago when I was logged in on Internet Explorer I stopped getting the ads. I used to be a paid subscriber and wonder if that has anything to do with it. I had been having to use Mozilla and AdBlock, which was OK but pics are very slow to load (and often don't finish) because of a memory leak in Mozilla. I probably shouldn't even be writing this because I'll probably start getting bombarded with ads again.
