My daughter brought me Prince Charles from Calgary last week, but couldn't find Betty Corning. I'm hoping I might find BC and maybe huldine locally once the garden centres are stocked...probably another week or 2.

yes that is right, my son broght me all the clematis labels and about 50 hosta labels. Thank goodness I took pics of the hosta last year and where they were growing.

I have Betty Corning and if you don't find her I can try to root some up for you. I will also keep my eye out locally... SOmetimes the HD has them in small pots..

I'm still longing for Tie Dye. If my Mme Julia Correvon doesn't come back from the dead I'm going to have a really hard time deciding whether to get Tie Dye or get another MJC. MJC was a great performer last year, and it was only its first year.

I have 35 already, but only 21 are vigorous and the others are either too young, in the wrong location and just plain not doing well! This week I purchased Alionushka, Prince Charles, Margaret Hunt and Huldine. When I buy clems, I know what colour I want, where to put them (usually), blooming time, height and pruning style. I bought 3 to replace the ones I lost this winter and two for new locations. But we all know, that when you want a particular clem, you will find a spot somewhere or keep it in a container. It drives my husband crazy.
