I had an orange clivia bloom a second time too. In the spring and then a smaller bloom in the summer. Go figure. That has not happened for me before, but I have had these clivias for just a few years.

Occasionally we get blessed with second or offseason blooms. They are rarely as nice as during the prime blooming season, but who is going to argue anytime a Clivia blooms? The nice thing about blooms at this time of year is if you keep the plant cool (about 40F), that bloom will slowly open over 4-6 weeks+ and you will have a Clivia in bloom for what seems like forever. It really helps bridge the gap until March when things really start happening.

Good timing -- it seems that two of the three are just about to bloom again! I should get out there with the camera. I was afraid that the off-season bloom would disrupt the regular bloom cycle, but I see that isn't the case. It is cool now, so hopefully I will be enjoying them for a while.
