'Betty Corning' is huge, fragrant, hard prune and blooms for a long time though not more than once. Has lovely little lavender bells that would look nice from under the pergola.

Etoile Violette for sure- mine blooms for weeks in mid summer and goes up an 8ft trellis and then comes back down. The base gets wider every year- after 6 years it is now about 3 feet wide at the ground. beautiful purple blooms too.
