Carol, make sure and let us know what you get. The prices look somewhat steep. Hopefully they are gallon sized plants since $34 is quite a bit to charge for anything less than that in size!

When I called to inquire about them, they said the 1 gallon pots are $19 (- 20%) up to 3 gallon fancy pots for $34 (- discount). I will let you know. I rarely see any different clems in this area so I am excited to go shopping!

Actually I got my harlow carr from waterloo in exton,pa!
After 25% off came to $14 2ft tall from Bottom of pot!

Wow, 1 gallon pots at $19 minus 20% is a pretty good deal considering that you have no shipping to add to the cost! Just make certain that the plants are well rooted--check the holes at the bottom for signs of roots. Let us know what you end up getting. Like I said before, thank goodness I don't live close by!! LOL

I live slightly to the west of the central part of NC- not exactly central but not in the western part of the state either! :0) I was joking about not living too close but I have been known to plan routes through certain areas on trips to visit nurseries that are known to be nice and that sell clematis. This weekend I went nursery hopping in the area but most nurseries tend to sell type IIs and the frilly ones that appeal to women like Josephine, Asao, and the like. No type IIIs except Jackmanii and Jackmanii Superba!

I got a Franzsiska Marie at the sale on Friday. This will be my first double clematis. They also had a Harlow Carr and Rossmore and a few other clemmies; Elsa Spath is another one they had but I have seen them at HD, so I skipped it. So I should check the roots and if they are coming out of the bottom of the pot, then I can plant it?

Carol, if the plant looks healthy and the roots are pretty well developed I would plant it. Although not a fan of type IIs, Franzsiska Marie is one that I have drooled over in the past. Those double purple blooms look super! Should have gotten both Harlow Carr and Rosemoor as they are both great clematis in my garden.
