Cool Jeanne. Unfortunately it is too hot already here for any additional shipment to me in my area. Even if it cools down some, I wouldn't risk shipment of any plant material after the middle of April. The weather is way too fickle, not to mention I don't like planting anything once it gets hot as it requires to much attention and I already have too much stuff to attend to as it is!

I can't wait. Do you think there will be different ones not listed on her site? I really wanted to try Tuchka and Kacper but she is out of those. I did order Solina and Juulka.

Rosethyme, I ordered Solina last fall and it is up and growing well. Can't wait for the blooms.

Nckvilledudes, I've read really good things about Solina. Hope you will post some pics when yours blooms. Not sure how the Juulka will like the Texas hot summers but will give it a lot of shade.

I bought Clematis "Solina" from Debbie last year and have really fallen in love with her..she is a trooper for being 2 years old..keeping up with my 2 year old "Etoile Violette" for sure...Jeanne

It is most probable that what Debbie will have on sale is her existing stock since she will want to clear her stock out for summer so she doesn't have so much to keep up over the hot days to come. I believe when I was perusing her site that there were some already marked as On Sale unless my eyes were deceiving me. With the crazy hours I work and have been working lately, I might be seeing things! LOL

Jeanne, your Solina is absolutely gorgeous! It obviously likes Texas and that is good to know.

I saw some marked "on sale" too so your eyes are fine.

Thank yall...Yup..Miguel...there were some on sale already...those maybe part of her overstock??..I would think that another busy time for her would be end of summer..since in my milder zone..planting clematis then is advantageous for me because of our long, cooler, wet fall....Jeanne

Good to know I wasn't seeing things.

I personally prefer planting clematis in the fall or very late summer also Jeanne. The cooler nights, more plentiful rainfall or less need for me to water, allow the plants to settle in and continue settling in all fall and winter long and get going like gangbusters in the spring. Our springs quickly warp into summer and the plants are more stressed and need more water. Just what I love--lugging hoses around all summer!

Being a Clematis newbie I was amazed at how fast they grow. I've already gotten several from Debbie and they seem to grow a foot overnight! She did have Bagatelle aka Dorothy Walton on sale but seems like that was just for April. I still want it though...looks like it would be a good one.
