Here is Mayleen in year 2 against the east side of my unheated garage in zone 5b (SE Iowa).

I have not grown many clematis and didn't realize Mayleen was marginal to my zone until after I ordered and planted it. I was attracted to the dogwood like flowers. I will be trying some longer flowering varieties next. :)
The trellis here is really too small and unstable. I hope to cut down Mayleen after flowering (I've read posts of people cutting back Mayleen after flowering), put in a sturdier trellis and eventually add another clematis, although no clue which one.
