how many is enough???

I've come to the conclusion that I have way too many of

each of my brugs...except for a few special ones that I'm in the process of growing. I'm mainly speaking of the NOID

orange and pink. How many do you all keep of each one that

you have in your collection? I also know for sure that I

have to scale down because it's sooo much work....I STILL

love 'em though!!

I thought I had only kept one of each but John was hiding tags and keeping them. I found out I had several of a couple of different noids and others that he "adopted". I guess thats what I get for waiting so long to check the tags and make my list, lol.

    Its called gifts.

One of each kind + extras for trades & sharing...which I end up keeping because they are too big/small to send. Then the ones that are too big get turned into cuttings & I have too many again.

Two of your special ones, one each of the others................ and keep them separate when you are trading, or ya might give away your own cuttings like I did!! LOL!!

Sounds like a plan, Brenda....I guess I have a lot of
sharing to do come spring. :):)

I agree with Brenda...the ones you really like you should have two of...juuuust in case. one of the rest. Of course cuttings as well.

Unless of course you want a brug forest, lol. How pretty that would be..someday I WILL have one..sigh..

dang it I cant wait for spring!!!!

If you have the space, two of each is a good rule, just in case you loose one. Then there are the special ones you might want a dozen of those you really like?? Let's just say if it's really special a few dozen works too!! We have that large leafed sang and we can't get enough of that one. We are also working on a batch of the orange one, too!! One can never have enough of the best ones?

Girls.. I see my plan going straight out the window!!! One
of my main problems IS that I DO have the space. Wouldn't
a forest be nice??? Can't you just imagine our garden if
    they were hardy perennials?
    Karma...is the sang one red?

haha..you do have the space? Soon you won't LOL! You will get addicted, have brug greed..and by next fall, you'll be wishing for more space! :)

No such thing as 'too many!' :) Space or not enough space - doesn't fit into the equation. We find a way! Don't we?? lol!

According to my DH about 75% less then I have. LOL

Karyn, my hubby too!!! Notice I don't refer to him as "Dear" Husband. My "D" would stand for something else! LOL
I honestly hope the brugs that grew really wide like bushes, don't do that again! They take up too much room! Hoping for tall plants, dripping with blooms!

I'm expecting 27* tonight! I just rushed out into my garage for the Grand Rescue! Small cuttings in cups that I received in trades got transported to my kitchen by the arm loads.. Other bigger plants went in to my warm ( 60*) basement...... I still have a table full of experimental cuttings that are rooting in soil that I will leave there, with the shop lights on.. About 4 buckets filled with Orange noid & Frosty pink cuttings will winter out the rest of the season in my cellar, waiting to be adopted.... I don't want to risk losing ANY OF THEM! ..... So I have many many of each variety- I just can't stop propagating! LOL!
