Rooting Clematis

20 years ago

So I am planting out Guernsey Cream today. It has long approx. three foot vines and I am untangling them and broke off one. I put it in water just in case there is a chance of it rooting. Any other ideas? Do they grow from cuttings and if so, do I need rooting hormone?
