Maybe a local granite shop would have a leftover price that you could do a undermount sink, and new faucet too??? Or get one of the kits to repaint the formica to look like granite.

That's a good idea. I don't know if there even is a granite shop around. Would they make a little back splash with the top? There are two vanities and the surround of the tub is formica too. What kit are you talking about? I saw something about a hard roll on paint, but no one can tell me how it looks in person. I can't remember the company.

Rustoleum or Tremclad! Stays perfect, you can choose your color, I have it over Formica in the kitchen. Buy the one to roll over as the spray is expensive and not that productive. For the price of a 900 ml can, a foam roller and a roll of green tape (from the Dollar store) you will be amazed! It stays equally nice on wood - and with some fancy faucet and fancy hardware (now that you have saved money on the rest) you get your remodel on a budget! Tried, tested and true!

Change the faucet to something tall and sleek.. then take down the mirror and replace with an intricate oval framed mirror. Or on the cheaper side.. add a frame to the existing mirror.

Thank you alexandrina and misscaliope. I only just found your posts. They had gone to the junk file. I will go look at the formica surfaces you mentioned. I love the idea of new faucets, but I will have to wait till I can save up.

I just had to pay $1000 to insulate the shed and then a drain in the park backed up from lack of maintenance and flooded the street, the yards front and back and right on into the shed and onto my stored photographic equipment.

Both the faucets leak so I would love to change them. Thank you again. I have another place that needs help. I will post it... it's the kitchen. I need a new sink, and I bubbled the formica when I pulled a burning pot onto it. I am only used to tile, not formica.
