A tree is needed with a circular bench and small openings for annual color. The tree needs to be a 4 season tree so it has color all year round (Bartlett Pear, Flowering cherry and a japanese maple maybe). Invest the money to dig up the stump.roots of the old one then get a good teak circular bench that can be adjusted as the tree grows then maybe potato vines, impatiens, hostas etc aroun the base of either the tree or the perimeter and it will be lovely. Beautiful property. When it's done let us know and we'll visit :)

Just had a thought when reading sunnie2day's post - My business has retreats and plans for annual cruises where our programs that increase human thriving are given. After you finish this it would be really cool to have one in your palace - a living example of someone successfully pursuing their passion. Other than personal experience, meeting someone is one of the best ways to inspire and help others believe their dreams are achievable. My Clientele is international and I would love to visit Poland.

Sounds like you want to limit work in the front to landscape development as you have already overspent on other work. That is certainly sensible, but when you are ready for a broader agenda I would urge you to remedy the tiny front porch, the steep steps up to the porch, the security door and maybe the garage door. It looks like when someone comes to the door they must step off the porch and down the steps so there is room for the security door to swing out without hitting them. The porch is only about as wide as the door and the steps are narrow and tall. I've seen houses built just like this and it would improve your house immensely to eliminate these problems and make the front comfortable and welcoming. Replacing the front porch with some kind of deck with steps built into it is my obvious initial thought. Regardless, do consider eliminating the security door and replacing the garage door with a wood door that has some character.

Clement,
WNuk has 5 asperatas, all looking like a Picea abies. I was told on the field Picea abies.
I also have some asperatas, they are more similar to Picea asperata Chevreloup, then Picea abies.
Despite of this, all will be listed under asperata in the book.

Correct name for "Picea mariana 'Jan'" is "Picea mariana 'Jana'"

Clement is right, last year I become from him a Picea asperata 'Bartek WN' which is a true Picea asperata cultivar...
