I was checking my P. ponderosa today and this caught my eye.

This was the tree with sapsucker damage and I been watching it.

I checked it closer and it appears to be sap.

I don't see any frass, just a partially solid, soft mass.

I took the jet spray on the garden hose and washed most of it off.

Anyone know what this is?
