It blooms great for me. Love love love the color too. One of my favorites.

Ville de Lyon is one of my most prolific and long blooming clematis I raise. It looks great paired with a pale purple/blue clematis like Emila Plater.

I was thinking to pair it with my Avant Garde and take Rebecca to another spot.
Any pics of what yours looks like in bloom?

I only have closeup photos, not of the whole plant, but mine blooms well in afternoon shade for perhaps as long as 7 or 8 weeks, at least 4 weeks so far this year and still blooming well. It is one of my favorites also, shown here with Hydrangea Endless Summer which it rambles through before climbing a fence.
