grafting question

I have a kishu mandarin cutting that I would like to graft onto one of my citrus trees.

1. is it better to graft the kishu onto another mandarin tree or is it equally ok to graft it onto an orange tree.

  1. My mandarin tree is just starting a new growth flush, and the temperature in NY is in the 70s right now. Can I do a cleft graft at this time of year, or am i better off doing a bud graft. please advise. Many thanks.
