Up intil 3 years ago my Henryii Clematis was huge and gorgeous. All of a sudden this healthy plant started to wilt. The plant stayed green, but looked terrible,so I cut it right back and let it rest. The following year the same thing happened but I did manage to get a couple of blooms. This year has started out in the same manner. The plant looks completely healthy one day,and the next completely droopy, but still green. I have almost come to the conclusion that I need to shovel prune it unless some knowledgeable person here can help me out.
