Patreesh...Your clematis "Polish Spirit" and "Jackmanii" are both pruning group 3's and since they just finished their "flush" of blooms all you are going to get is a bloom here and there for the rest of the season.Your growing season is much too short to hard prune them and expect another flush of blooms...Next late Winter/early Spring of '09 you'll hard prune,fertilize and you'll have the same blooms again next year..only bigger and better.
Your "Crystal Fountain" is a pruning group 2 and should bloom again this late Summer/early fall before going to sleep for the winter..Since your "Crystal Fountain" was a baby and just planted this year...it would benefit your plant to hard prune her just like you do your pruning group 3's next year and then treat her like a pruning group 2 in year '10 and on..I fertilize at the same time that I prune my clematis and roses...I use to fertilize them again after their bloom cycle was finished but now that my soil is so rich from yearly regimes of adding composted cowmanure and mulch...they only get fertilized once in Spring..
If you are wanting clematis to bloom when your pruning group 3's are done..you should consider planting more pruning group 2's as they bloom in Spring and again in later Summer/early Fall..Jeanne

The age of the plant has a lot to do with the amount of blooms as well. Your plants are babies so you will not get as many blooms until they mature in 3-5 years. My Polish spirit last year bloomed from July to frost. It was huge. It got so large it overwhelmed the shrub it was growing on. I had to move it this spring to another location. This year it only got 4' tall and had a handfull of the smallest blooms I have ever seen. It is a baby again and it is just going to take time before it will bloom well again.
