Seems to like its permanent home very well. It is a member of the Evison Boulevard collection that is supposed to stay reasonably short so that may be its maximum height. COTW has its mature height listed as around 1 meter which equates to about 3.28 feet tall so yours may be at its max height, although we all know how clematis have minds of their own and often don't read books! LOL

Cezanne is one of my favorite clematis, especially for containers. I have had one in a container on my deck for three years now and it is a great clematis. Grows between 3.5-4 feet tall every year. I always cut mine down after it's first flush and this results in another big flush later in the summer.

Matt, how do you over-winter your Cezanne?

I'm jeoulous! My Cezanne has had wilt again for the 2 year in a row. I planted it in the fall of 06 in a large pot with other perennials. It grew well the next spring and had lots of buds, then it wilted. It grew back later in the summer and had 1 or 2 blooms. This spring it did the same thing. I am going to give it 1 more year to look like your photo. If it doesn't, it is compost.

Yes, Cezanne is an excellent variety. It's not just a beauty, but also floriferous and long blooming. Mine has been container grown for several years, though had begun to suffer a bit from neglect, I repotted it and it's been thanking me ever since.
