Hi

When I purchased this clematis, the tag said to cut the whole plant back to about 2 feet in late spring.

I love this plant, but now it has naked legs!

Can I cut this plant down further to encourage growth to start lower, or do I just plant something in front of it?

There is not much room without expanding the bed, although I could exchange the heuchera for something taller.

The left side of the garage gets morning sun, the right side in the afternoon.
