I agree, it is most likely Piilu. When it gets older it should have double and semi double blooms too. Here is mine:

Buyorsell, you are lucky to have doubles in zone 8. Uno Kivistik used to say that Piilu need a cold spell to produce double. In my garden never did. It is compact, about 1,8m. Lovely when covered with hundreds of blooms
