I finally picked up Avant-Garde and need to get her in the ground but I'm not sure where to place here. My yard is stuffed with clems and anything new I have to squeeze in so I want to get it right. When she's growing on a structure, does her overall shape, blooming level, etc. resemble Kermisina, Madam Julia Correvon, Huldine, Tie Dye, or ???. I'm not worried about color and flower shape, just how the clem looks on the structure. Does he reach for the sky like my Polish Spirit or flirt and drape herself over her neighbors like Arabella? Just what is her personality?

I've learned I have to adapt to the clematis. Sometimes they just won't do or grow where I think they should. Some look better on a trellis than an obelisk and some just grab at everything in sight.
