I planted three small clems from 2" pots 4 years ago.

I did not know that I should plant them deeper and cut them back or wait until they had grown in to a gallon can, so I did everything wrong! I do keep them mulched with compost and fertilize with alfafa tea. I am in a very hot summer climate and they get about 5 hours of midday sun. Two of them are 3ft tall and 1 is 1ft. I cut them all back to about 18" last fall. They are all pruning group 2, but I don't know the varieties. I had three flowers on one of them last year and two on the same plant this year, and none on the other two ever! Is it time to move them or put them in the compost pile? Thanks for any help. Wobur
