So far my Cezanne and Versailles have wilted, still waiting to see if they come back. I wanted a Picardy but couldn't find one-if it was me, I'd go with the Picardy!

Just curious cnetter, what kind of prices are they asking? The two Home Depots here in Fort Collins don't have a "scratch and dent" section. Just one more reason why I like Lowe's better. A couple of weeks ago they had 1/2 price clematis. I let DH pick out one. He chose Will Goodwin. Had very nice roots. I'm going to try this one in a container.

They were asking full price - almost $20.00, but the plants still looked pretty good and Cezanne had quite a few blooms.

I'd pick Cezanne. I have Cezanne and Picardy and have had them for two or three years. I just got a Versailles a week or two ago (half dead from Lowe's, so it was 75% off). My Cezanne is definitely more floriferous than my Picardy, plus the blooms are just beautiful. If I found Cezanne locally again, I would buy another one so that I could have two.

I keep them in containers and over-winter them in my garage.

I bought an Angelique and a Versailles last year. They both had wilt and performed poorly this year. I am hoping they will do better next year. I wouldn't choose these at $20 a piece. If the above poster had good results with Cezanne and Picardy I would go with those. Karen

I bought 'Versailles', 'Cezanne', 'Picardy' and 'Bourbon' this year. All of them got wilt and died to the ground. After sleeping for 3-5 weeks they started to grow back. 'Cezanne' is the most vigorous so far, it already has more than 10 buds.
I saw some of them in bloom and I really like 'Angelique' for the wavy petals and 'Bourbon' and 'Versailles' for the amazingly bold color. I am going to add 'Angeligue' to my collection if I will find it on sale.

I bought one - Cezanne. Surprisingly, all their clematis looked fairly good and there were blooms on all of them. I decided Cezanne would show up the best.
