Hi, about a week ago I put in a clematis Dr Ruppel but it looks as sick as a parrot and I fear I'm going to lose it. It coped well with being planted out and was nice and green and happy and starting to grow up the wire nicely. It's not all wilty but it looks like its getting eaten by slugs and also has black ends to the leaves (piccy attached).

I've put down slug pellets and have been out and sprayed a mixture of garlic, water and washing up liquid but it just seems to be getting worse and I don't know what else I can do, or what the cause actually is.

Any ideas anyone? By the way I'm in the UK.
