Susan I am with you. If we get snow by Friday like the weatherman said we could easily get...then beware. i am not going to drive. Not that I don't drive safely, but there are way to many folks out there who are careless or do not know how to drive in snow.

Well............we do not get to see snow to often here lol

Oh that will be so much fun. Maddy has been talking about snow and she remembers the snow we had a few years ago and her dad and she build a snowman.

It just got light enough outside to see and it's snowing here! There is about a half inch accumulation and it's still coming down! Glad it's my day off so driving is strictly optional!

Keep safe all of you dealing with bad weather, and only go out if you really must.

I always get so excited when it snows since it's a rarity here!

Here in Georgia, everyone, the bigguns and little uns, pray for snowdays especially on schooldays!!
The bread and milk run out and there is a big rush at the video stores!
We may get a dusting on Saturday.
Meanwhile, we are getting heavy showers like Susan is.

We are inland far enough to get just light rain. The first words out of the kids was, "Oh boy we might not have school!" They were disapointed to see the rain this morning. lol. Hope everyone stays safe and warm this week.

Snow might hit Houston, north Galveston County this weekend. I hope not. I hate snow. Monday I went in the backyard and the angels were swinging wildly! The wind was fierce. Low is supposed to be 39 here. Not freezing but too cold for me.

    Stay warm and dry everyone.

Ingrid you are reaching for the stars now roflmao.

I mean,RAIN...ok we all wished for you to get rain. But would most CA like us if snow falls? lol

Besides, didn't you see snow on your visit to Germany?

Then if the weather keeps you from going any place...just come here and sit with us!
    Hugs

I hope nobody has had any severe weather. We're under a flood watch and it's been pouring but not as bad as was predicted, so far anyway. Ew snow, yuck!

That fire looks good. I'm freezing. The dogs keep wanting to go outside. I hope John gets up soon. I'm going back to bed and let them sit at the door and howl, lol.

You all can get excited about snow. Myself, I am with Karyn "Ew snow, yuck!" I get too cold, LOL!

So Susan and all you other north-east coast posters, how did the weather go yesterday? I hope you didn't get too much rain. My weatherbug says that y'all are in for a rocky ride today too.

    Pam

I'll be right over to sit at the fire!
I just hope and pray that you all stay safe when the weather acts up!- It is cloudy here today, and "only" 58 F at 8:00 AM.

    Ingrid.

    That fire is wonderful, Lucy.

Today is tree day and then we'll have a fire, too.

Looking at more than one inch snow all the way down here in San Antonio.

Hi!Pam,it didn't get as bad here as other area's
Baxley had 3 moble homes destroyed, schools around
here were closed early and some flooding in Savannah!
Thank God it wasn't as bad,we had plenty of rain which
we need. Are you getting snow,it's so weird with weather
now days you just never know what to exspedt, Lordy,Lordy!
    Hugs

It's good that you got the rain that you needed, but flooding can be so dangerous! Savannah is pretty low, like sea-level, right? I hope the occupants of those mobile homes were somewhere safe and dry.

We had snow yesterday morning, which melted in a few hours. I'm worried about tomorrow because I have to go to work. There are flurries in the forecast, but only an inch of accumulation is expected. We usually get put up in a nice hotel if it gets too bad, but I always miss my honey if I'm away at night.

    Pam

Oh my gosh, Pam!! I knew that airlines put you up in a hotel if they can't stick to their schedule.
But you... because of the weather?? Where do you live for something like this to be necessary????
When I first came to the US, I had my choice between NY, Chicago, Or LA, and I chose LA. Sometimes I just hate the eternal sunshine here, but I guess I should be thankful to the Lord, because I had no idea what to pick. I am awestruck about what you have to go thru at times!!!
But I know that your place, your home, is so beautiful that you are willing to put up with anything.

I live in the Dallas Fort Worth metro area where people don't drive when it gets icy because we don't do icy roads well plus I commute almost 60 miles each way. Plus my employer likes to know that the phone lines are always open ;-) I'm in IT for a large manufacturing/sales corporation and our work is very important to the company. Two years ago, we had to stay over for 3 nights in a crazy sleet storm. I really missed home a lot.

I hope everyone stays safe and not too bad weather. I wouldn't mind the snow if I wasn't sick but all it makes me do is worry about what I might have forgotten outside. My poor vegetables are gonna be toast after being below freezing for 2 days. Was really looking forward to the broccoli and cabbage. John did take one of my tomatoes in to the greenhouse. He got me a Mr. Heater and its doing a great job keeping the greenhouse warm. Its able to keep it about 52 when it was 31 outside last night. The more tender tropicals are in the garage.

Oh Kristy don't worry about your Cabbage. When Patty and I took the rest in...we also looked at them. From the looks of it...SOME BUGS already prevented most of the leaves to be able to freeze ;-(
Unless you wanted to dig something up...there really was nothing anymore we needed to safe. All winter hardy, what was left out there in pots.

Pam hoping you can sleep at home :-)

I didn't notice anything terrible at my house but there were trees down in several areas just a few miles away. Indirectly I was affected because a 6 mile drive to Kyle's preschool took 50 minutes yesterday morning! Grrrrrr

That must have been an awful wind Karyn. Good that you didn't get damage.
