I knew about Roseville Janet but thought they only did wholesale. It appears that you need some sort of account to log in. I wonder if anyone can get an account or if you have to order some minimum quantity that is likely to be more than an individual could ever want??? Am sending them an email and will let you know what I find out.

Bummer. They state at Customer Login that they only sell wholesale.

There is another company that I think is only wholesale also Janet called Clearview. Too tired right now to really mess with the site to find out but am enclosing a link.

Regarding Roseville clematis, these are the ones that you can typically find at Walmart for $4.88 each in the early spring. I found some on clearance for $2.44 each and got two or so several years ago. The only problem is that most of the ones they sell are the more common ones that I either already have or have no interest in.

They do have a retail section, but you're right, they sell the common stuff as do a lot of the places on the list.

I decided when making the list I was going to post all places that sell clematis and leave the rest up to the individual.

Just realize that Heronswood is no longer owned by the original owner Dan Hinkely (don't know if I spelled that correctly). He sold the nursery and stock off to one of the larger nursery outfits and there was some discussion a while back about how the quality of the plants had suffered since the sale. Caveat emptor!

I came across an article that talked about Heronswood Nursery back from 2006 which indicates that the nursery was purchased in 2000 by Burpee. Didn't realize that it was that far back when Hinkley sold it but that might explain why a clematis Blue Boy I purchased from them a few years back is definitely not Blue Boy but rather most probably a blue integrifolia that resembles the species.

Do you know what states these dealers are located in? Out towards Oregon and Washington or B.C. are my choices, for example.

Jim, if you go to the links provided, you will be able to determine which dealers are located on the west coast. Right off the top of my head, both Joy Creek and Silver Star Vinery are two on the west coast or out that way anyways.
