Come and gettem!!!!!

My first seedpod of the season has ripened and has 150 seeds. I have up to 12 packets of seeds up for grabs. Let me know here on this thread if you are interested and please email me also!

This is the cross:

Mom- Dorthea- longest tendrils and holds up in the heat. Really beautiful.

{{gwi:441102}}

Dad- Miz Scarlett's twin sister, sdlg #G2, blooms in hot summer, lemon-scented, had 6 flushes this year- and, yes, two girls can cross within the brug kingdom!! LOL!

{{gwi:532851}}

These seeds can be shipped as soon as they dry. They are ready to plant inside for next season's blooms. I plant my brug seeds on the last day of December, traditionally.

I ask for $2.00 postage and shipping for the padded envelopes.

Regular posters to this forum get first dibs- sorry, I should have mentioned that before.

I am nursing a nasty cold, so if you don't hear back from me right away, be patient!

BTW, this is the first of many seedpods! More to come!

I'm not sure if I count as a regular poster, but I would like to be considered. I've only got Ecuador White and possibly Charles Grimaldi in my collection. I'd love to grow some from seed. I'll email you.

    Long time reader, irregular poster.

I would love some. The parent plants are so beautiful.

Beautiful parents, should produce some nice plants.

I can't wait. I had one pink cutting give me one flower this year. I've turned that one cutting into 6 for next year. I'm really hoping I can get some to cross. I now have 3 varieties, possibly 4 since a customer gave me some cuttings from her plants a month ago. These things are addictive.

Oh Brenda- If I may- I'd love to try to start some of those from seeds- they are absolutely fantastic! Do they have a better chance if you start them now, when the seed is fresh- or do you start them in the spring? thanks if I qualify!

If I was a person looking to grow brugs from seeds and had none, I would for sure ask you to please share.

But this year I am going to be so lucky to grow out brugs from the Flamenco x ? nature lol, cross.

So nice "meeting" you to today, Brenda. Here's hoping you are back at the top of your game real soon!

Get well soon Brenda. Tis the season for the germ bugs to be out. There will be more seeds available later if you folks stick around. She is sick for goodness sakes. Wait until more are offered up.

Feel better soon. I wouldn't worry about getting seeds out until you've recovered. It's not like anyone is rushing to start them and a few weeks shouldn't make a difference.

BTW when I posted I was just commenting on the beauty of your plants. I don't want (or should I say need, I always want LOL) any seed right now.

Brenda, hoping you are feeling better each day. Don't worry about the seeds. You were so generous in offering them that we can wait as long as it takes. Now, have some hot tea and get back to bed!

Hey, I can't believe, I'm feeling better! Lots of vit. C, and some rest is doing wonders!

Karyn, I know you weren't asking for seeds! You are probably covered up with your own seedpods!

Luvbrugs, Kristy is right! This is my first seedpod of the year. Many more fatties hanging on my mommy brugs, getting ready to ripen. They seem to ripen overnight, turn brown and mushy! I need to go check the pollination dates. There may be more soon and I can send y'all even more seeds in your packages! I will let the forum know in the next few days. Some of these next crosses may have a double parent.
    Stick around! Coming attractions!! LOL!!

Thanks for all the well-wishes! They worked!

I didn't have loads of blooms this year, much less seed pods. I only have 1 decent size pod hanging on an unknown variegated brug and a few very small ones on a Cherub that I don't think will mature. The rest were on plants that I had to lift and they ended up dropping soon after I dug them up. Glad you are feeling better.

Glad you are feeling better. Take it easy so you don't have a relapse. Now start to worry about the next ones ripening properly. LOL

    Linda

Glad to hear you are feeling better.. âºâº
I can't wait to see what other seeds you come up with!!

    Kylie

I harvested my 1st and only seedpod a few days ago.

ALL planted yesterday...sorry this time I just could not share lol

I know Kylie you had a lot of seedpods...were you able to have them continue to grow so far?

    Lucy

Lucy I have about 40 that are all holding on.. I have lost a few on plants that didn't get moved in quite quick enough..
So folks I am sure there will be plenty of seed to go around when it is all said and done...LOL

    Kylie

Yay, Lucy, WTG!!! Show us those little guys when they start sprouting.

Luvbrugs, Love your babies ......and you're gonna be covered up in seeds if ya stick around! I will be harvesting some more right before Christmas! And you heard Kylie- 40 seedpods!
    .................. Let's see, an average of 100 seeds per pod x 40 + 4000 SEEDS!!!! Whoa!!

I still have not received an email from some of you!

    have a great Saturday!

Kylie's brug commune? Hmmmmsounds like back to sixties to me ......but some of us survived and thrived despite a (only somewhat) misspent youth -LOL.
I may get in line for some of those 'hippy brug seed' just to give it a whirl once (never tries brugs from seed, that is).
