Im with you on that . I keep getting a vonage phone pop up when I close this page. Its hideing behind it. Most of the time I have to restart my computer to get rid of the freekin thing.....

There is a "close" bar - upper right hand corner. Yes, they are an irritation and very distracting but not so much as the Oscar Meyer ads that preceeded them :-( The "close" bar on those wouldn't work until the 5th or 6th try.....pretty much until the entire ad had run!

I guess somebody's got to pay for this site......IMO, the advertisements are a small price to pay for the value that Garden Web provides.

I don't know what ads you are talking about. Maybe Firefox is blocking them?

Yes, Firefox is effective in blocking 99% of pop-up advertisements.
