Shawn~ I have some NOID purple datura and Datura La Fleur that I can share too.

Rigo

Sending you both an email. Thanks! Still need to know when to start them and are they like brug seeds that need soaked and peeled first? Thanks
Shawn

Shawn,I have dat seedlings right now.I don't soak them,i just plant them in potting soil in a small tray and then seperate when they get three sets of leaves into six packs till they root out, then four inc pots. I hope this helps.

Shawn I just put mine out in the ground last spring. They germinate real easy. At least for me. Had a lot new seedlings coming up after seed pods had popped open and the seeds were in the ground. The single white variety even bloomed not long after growing into a tiny plant. Since space is sparce (sp), I rather start other seeds indoors.

Lucy

Do you think they would have time to get big enough to bloom in my zone if I started them outside?
Shawn

Shawn,

I have Purple Ballerina Datura seeds if you did not get enough seeds already. Please email me and I will be happy to send you some seeds.

~Tj~

I start some of the doubles inside early but they have such erratic germination rates. I have seeds from the same pods sprouting at 2 weeks and others 4 months later. I do think they germinate better when started outside but some bloom so late in the season if they aren't started early. I end up sowing them from Feb through May. Some varieties will self seed. Shawn I have a few varieties you might want. Send me an email.

pagdnr - start your seeds in Feb. or March. They will have plenty of time to get to size in our zone. I've had seeds germinate from the previous year outside by themselves in June and they still get to be a respectable size. Karyn1 is also correct about the erratic germination. Some of mine take up to 7 months to germinate so don't give up on them. The dbl/trpls wont grow as large as the singles.

regards,

Jack

I totally agree with both karyn and blicon1 (Hey Jack, where have you been?) with their advice. Metels inside early and all the rest can be planed direct, word to the wise do not plant many of the La Fleur (weed) as that one can get away from folks and cause a problem.

Thanks for all the advice! (and seeds!)
Shawn

Shawn, I have some white datura inoxia seeds if you are interested. Send me an email. Thanks, Linda
