I have beds along the walls of the house that are in varying degrees of shade. Most get at least some sun each day. I would like to plant ferns in these beds. I am in south Louisiana. We do have the occasional freeze but it seldom lasts more than the night. However, I did lose many plants a couple of years ago when we experienced freezing temps for a couple of days. The beds are on the northern, western, and southern sides of the house. I need suggestions on which ferns would do well in these circumstances.
