I am finally able to get near my wooded perimeter after the field behind the house was mowed. There are some beautiful mosses and lichens and I haven't been able to get to the bookstore for an ID guide yet. Number one is what field guide would you recommend? Also, there is a delightful moss that has a red helmet on it. It's positively mesmerizing. Sorry I can't post a picture, but I'm techno challenged. My digital camera is one of those cheap ones from the grocery store.
