Succession Seed Sowing

Someone posted recently they were at the half way point of planting in the field. Do any of you cutflower growers succession plant in order to have flowers throughout the entire season? This is my first year at a farmers market, and I do want to have enough flowers to carry me through the season. Also, how would one know what is the half way point of planting?

Yes. In order to have cutflowers throughout the entire season, it is necessary to succession plant. One cannot plant once and figure they will be able to harvest all season. Regarding the half way point: I dunno. I guess I'm not that analytical. We plant well into August. Sometimes we lose some crops. Sometimes we have a late frost; and, we have lots of flowers. Just depends if one is willing to take that gamble.
