Are you a Celebrity ; B/coz Nowadays such a house cannot be maintained by a Common Man , My ancestral home on our small 300 + Acre estate is somewhat like this but in Bad shape coz we dont go there often , we have William Shervin's

I Thought on those lines initially , then I gave that thought away to you , lol

Looks like the windows need something to me. Not sure what style the house is. A melange, I'd guess. Entry colonial, then goes modern and has a touch of 1970's with aluminium windows. I'm sure that is not exactly the case, but it appears somewhat mixed. Is it stucco? I think some other color than the grey would look better with the drive but not match it. Seems to be in a tropical area and perhaps eastern, judging by the shoes at the door. Are there some culturally typical colors that would speak to this home?

How about a white with dark green on the trim? Here is a white with a lighter green:

I agree with dytecture, the grey pallett was my gut reaction to the photos, even before I read his suggestions. I would make the large columns a lighter color grey and the two story entry area the dark grey. Anyway, I still think this style house can't be beat in shades of stone.

The house does seem like a 1970's melange of styles. The outside is rendered stucco, the windows are timber casement windows. We are located in Queensland, Australia. I want to get rid of both the blue and stone colours on the house and opt for a much fresher, cleaner look.

HI -- I can't believe how beautiful this house is ! I think this house should be a pure white with dark trim. It might even look great with the accent trim you have now and then just the dark trim on the roof edge. And then a beautiful stained wood front door or a black door. We can't see the front door in the pictures but if you could find a vintage or spanish style antique door or have a real modern door with textured or frosted glass. I think it wil look clean, fresh, and modern .

HI -- Thanks judyg -- you read my mind !
