I've got a light lilac colored clemantis (I've long since lost track of what variety but I think it's a type 2). I'm thinking about planting a different color to climb up the same post. I was looking for something that would bloom while this one is resting but those all seem to be Type 3s. Is this a bad idea? Should I stick to a type 2 to make pruning easier? Thanks
