We are remodeling out back yard. We have a narrow space (2 1/2 ft.) between our fence and a low brick retaining gardening wall that boarders our pool deck. We want to plant a smooth trunk palm or Italian cypress tree. Would there be a problem with a root system damaging the pool and or decking?
