Hi:

I definately need some advice. I live in Long Island, New York. My house backs on a somewhat busy road. We do have a six foot stockade fence, but it doesn't allow enough privacy. I have many large oak trees, which provide a lot of shade. I don't want to take them down. I need a suggestion as to what will grow under these conditions. I tried some Eastern White Pines. We must have planted 15 over the years and only four have made it. Will a leyland cyprus be ok under these conditions? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks
