Not helpful, and illegal in some states.

Some of the reasons -
attract predators, domestic dogs

spreads diseases among deer (they tell their friends and your feeding station becomes an impromptu gathering place)

results in even more over-browsing of local vegetation and ornamentals

Deer are browsers. So a feeding spot won't work - they will just nibble a bit and move on.......

Chester Grant, I will have to disagree with you there. My sisters husband puts out feed that the deer visit on a very regular basis. They tend to come in later in the day and feed throughout the night. The fact that there are 2 large dogs on the property doesn't seem to bother them at all. And like MorZ8 said, it tends to create a gathering place. Despite the feed being there for them, they have also severely "pruned" the new apple trees and nibbled a Mugo Pine down to a few twigs!

I am late to this one but I know if deer are on good food they tend to have more fawns. Goats are the same way. So unless you want to feed triplets later I would not feed the mammas.

Not to mention, how could anyone even afford to buy the amount of corn it would take to keep a ready supply:)!
