It could work. We tried drying the leaves of crocosmia for the first time this year, and they retain their green color when air-dried.

An update... (I did get a recent reply to this post which reminded me to update.. even though the server gremlins have wiped it out since... :-( )

I thought I would share how it came out... they were a little sensitive. Only one leaf survived the handling. I burned a few, they didn't take much pressing (I use a microwave method)

I adore dried flowers. I fool around with them here and there. I dry mine with a dehydrator. A friend of mine dried ferns and leaves between two screens and held down with blocks on all sides. He put it outside in the sun. It worked very well. I was looking at the frames next to your hosta. Would you take some photos of them and share with others?
