I can second this lgteacher. I have one that has returned from a bad freeze and hasn't received any intentional water. Others here in Central Texas are blooming. Keep your eyes open for seed pods.

My Moringa Oliefera gives us super food, grew 12 feet tall this year, and we clipped her back to 7'. She gets no water at all. An amazing edible for your garden. We actually planted a hedge of this variety, but some struggle. It's the boulders we don't know about under the ground.

Her leaves turn yellow and drop if you provide water. Deep tap root. Entire tree is edible.

Desertdance, you are very fortunate to be in a warmer climate.

I can speak highly of the Arroyo Sweetwood, myrospermum sousanum. It's doing well here in my rocky soil. They grow in arroyos between Texas and Mexico and only get water when there's a gully washer. I'm find that it has grown rather quickly, too.
