Weeping Mulberry!

Thanks! I never heard of them before, will research more to see if they will do well in my zone.

The weeping mulberry would be much smaller than the plum, at least mine is small, 5' still after several years. I like the fruit, and the weeping branches hide it from the birds.

I have a weeping pear tree, it was here when we moved in. I don't know the variety, it appears to be Bartlett.

there is a weeping fig tree however they are hard to find ive been looking for them for a while if anyone has any for cuttings let me know

Limbertwig apples are weepers, hence the name. There are several varieties of Limbertwigs to choose from, and can be grown on any size apple rootstock. There are also many other weeping varieties of apples that do not have the word Limbertwig in their names.

They used to be commonly grown prior to the time period when dwarf rootstocks became popular. It was and is MUCH easier to harvest the fruit from a weeper than a full-sized apple tree.

There is also the persimmon tree which not only has a weeping habit but looks beautiful when laden with fruit as well. The orange fruit actually decorates the tree nicely even after the leaves have fallen. From what I have been able to find they seem to be self fertile also but I would check first. I know the Fuyu variety is supposed to be self fertile, non astringent, and quite a vigorous grower.
